Prior to the meeting, Dr. Lee Wright will offer an organ recital and hymn sing in DUPC's sanctuary at 9:15 a.m. This is a unique musical opportunity to center yourself before the meeting and experience DUPC's beautiful worship space, Tiffany stained-glass windows and world-renowned Fisk organ.

During the gathering time at 9:30 a.m., DUPC’s congregation will provide coffee, tea and pastries in the Hallock Lounge, located on the first floor of  the Institutional Building. The meeting will take place in the Shaw Room, located on the second floor of the Institutional Building.

During the meeting, we will continue our Courageous Conversations with the topic you ranked as the #1 issue before the church: Pastoral Leader Shortage. As previously reported, 25% of pastors are likely to retire by 2030, and there aren’t enough people to fill the pulpits they will leave behind. We hope you will join us as we delve deeper into how this is affecting our congregations and creative ways to address this challenge.

Please note: During worship, we will be celebrating communion. If you are joining us online, we invite you to prepare your own elements ahead of time so we can share the Lord’s Supper together as one body.

The worship offering will support the work of Refugees Helping Refugees, a community- based non-profit organization in Rochester, NY run by former refugees to assist new Americans. It helps refugees in Western New York build independent lives: fostering growth, self-determination, and self-reliance by making them agents of their own advancement. If you choose to make an offering gift when registering online, you will be
redirected to another page to submit an online payment. You may also make an offering gift, directly, via PGV’s Stripe account. If you run into problems submitting your payment, please contact Cheryl Battaglia at financialadmin@pbygenval.org.

A meal will not be offered following the meeting, but we invite you to continue your conversations at any of the wonderful restaurants and eateries located in downtown Rochester.
