Bethany serves as the Stated Clerk for the Presbytery of Genesee Valley. She is a Presbyterian pastor, having served churches in Florida, Colorado, and Tennessee before joining the PGV. In a fun twist, Bethany doesn't actually live in Rochester. She doesn't even live in New York. She is a minister member of the Presbytery of Olympia, living in Olympia, Washington. She serves on the Olympia Commission on Ministry, is the clerk for the Synod of Alaska-Northwest PJC, on the Presbyterian Church (USA): A Corporation board of directors, and on the Center for Jubilee Practice board of directors.

She also runs her own small business, Sacred Calls, where she creates training and practical resources for churches, including in-person and Zoom trainings for sessions.

Bethany's first loves are her husband, Matthew, also a PCUSA pastor, and their two kiddos. They enjoy things like Pink Pony Club, Hamilton, and hikes with fairies. Bethany's favorite things are The West Wing, Colorado IPAs, playing handbells with the Rainier Ringers, and barefoot shoes.
