Presbytery Leader Rev. Amy Williams Fowler 585-242-0080 ext 101 |
Amy is a pastor—having served as associate pastor, pastor, and interim pastor for the first fifteen years of ministry in Tennessee, Georgia, Indiana and Illinois. She began presbytery work in 2000, serving in Chicago, Indiana, Missouri, and now in Genesee Valley. A graduate of Duke University, and Princeton Theological Seminary, she is a Doctor of Ministry degree candidate at Columbia Theological Seminary, exploring the intersection of Christian spirituality, missional theology and congregational transformation. Her husband, Gene Fowler, is a pastor in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A), and their son, Thomas, is a law student at Boston University. Amy enjoys all kinds of music, especially blue grass and classical, gardening and cooking. |
| The Presbytery Leader is the chief administrative officer of the Presbytery, acting as head of staff and resourcing its various committees, including the Committee on Ministry. Her responsibilities include stimulating communications between the Presbytery and congregations and representing the Presbytery to denominational governing bodies, as well as in ecumenical settings in the Rochester area. | ||

Presbyter for Mission and Education Susan Orr 585-242-0099 |
Susan has been an active member of Laurelton United Presbyterian Church since her youth. She is an elder, a member of the music ministry and
currently serves as Clerk of Session. Susan also serves on the board at
Cameron Community Ministries.
Susan was certified as Associate Christian Educator by the PC(USA)’s Educator Certification Council in November 2010 and in 2009.was certified as National Resource Center Director by the Ecumenical Resource Center Alliance, in conjunction with Union Theological Seminary . |
| The Presbyter for Mission and Education serves as the primary programming resource person in our efforts to Know Christ, Live Christ, and Share Christ. In this work the Presbyter supports the presbytery’s committees and ministry teams as they do their work with congregations and pastors. The Presbyter also consults with congregations and pastors on educational and mission resources available for their ministries. | ||

Presbyter for Pastoral Support and Development The Rev. Neil S. Frood, Jr. nfroodjr@rochester.rr.com |
Neil retired from pastoral ministry in 2010, having served as pastor to the York United Presbyterian Church for thirty-eight years. A graduate from Syracuse University and McCormick Theological Seminary, Neil focused on ecumenical ministry and community outreach as he enjoyed the years of pastoring in York. Neil and his wife, Franny, continue to live in York, always in the midst of a project or two keeping up their old home. They have three adult children and four grandchildren, fortunate to having all live close by. Neil’s hobbies include: puttering, golf, walking, cycling, reading and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren, who range in age from 12 to 6 years. |
| The Presbyter for Pastoral Support and Development works primarily with pastors and retired clergy to strengthen their ties with one another and with the Presbytery and to assist them in improving their professional functioning and personal well-being. The position is responsible for developing and nurturing clergy support groups and for providing spiritual and pastoral care for clergy in times of need. The Presbyter for Pastoral Support and Development also works with the Presbyter for Mission and Education in developing and promoting opportunities for quality continuing education. | ||

Merl is a retired Presbyterian Minister having served most recently as Pastor of the United Presbyterian Stone Church in Caledonia. Previously Merl served churches in Western Pennsylvania and was a Presbyterian Missionary in Ethiopia and Zambia for ten years. Merl and his wife Jane are parents to Chip, Pete, Pam, and Michael, and grandparents to Maury, Whitney, Cody, Emily, Megan, Lauren, Noah, and Samuel. Long time hobby: photography. Newest hobby: geocaching. |
| Merl’s responsibilities include keeping the Presbytery Financial Accounts in good order, making deposits, paying bills, providing financial reports as required by the Presbytery, its Committees and Congregations and acting as a resource for Congregational Financial Officers. | ||

Sharon has been an administrator in non-profit organizations for over 30 years. She is a member of the National Association of Church Business Administrators and has taught Church Administration in the Commissioned Lay Pastor program in the Presbytery. She holds a degree in Business Administration from Temple University. |
| Sharon serves as Operations Manager. Her responsibilities include managing the Presbytery office, and coordinating logistics for presbytery meetings. She is also support staff for the Head of Staff, the Stated Clerk, Presbytery's governing committees. Sharon has worked for the Presbytery since December 2004. | ||

Janice is a member, elder and sings in the choir at Gates Presbyterian Church. She is active in the “Tabitha” circle as well as many fundraising projects and participated in one of their mission trips to Guatemala. She is married to George Bilohlavek, has two children-Tess and Greg- and seven grandchildren. |
| The Program Secretary’s primary role is as secretary to the Presbyter for Mission and Education, and in that capacity she also provides support staff services to Budget Development and Oversight, Clergy Care and Development, Congregational Development, Mission & Advocacy, Stewardship Development and Interpretation, and Self-Development of People committees. She also maintains the Presbytery database and Directory. | ||

Bruce has been in the computer business since 1982, and began working on web sites in 1994. He’s had his own dot-com since 1998 and has been working as a freelance web designer since 2000. He also works part-time at the Arnett Branch of the Rochester Public Library. Fun Fact: Bruce is a car-free bicycle commuter, cycling thousands of miles every year in all weather. |

| Bruce is our “webgeek”—the creative and technical web site designer for pbygenval.org. In addition to designing and maintaining the site, he helps staff with questions about computer issues. As a contractor, he reports to the Presbytery Leader. |
Can’t see our e-mail addresses?
Our web site uses JavaScript to hide our e-mail addresses from the automated programs spammers use to harvest e-mail addresses from web sites. It also hides them from the many new viruses that harvest addresses from an infected PC’s Temporary Internet Files.
Reducing spam and reducing the spread of viruses are good things.
