Book CoverBK CC1 004 CHRIST CONNECTION, THE: HOW THE WORLD RELIGIONS PREPARED THE WAY FOR THE PHENOMENON OF JESUS Author: Roy Abraham Varghese
All of history is a search for salvation. This is the universal quest. It is the human journey. It is this quest, this journey, that is the subject of this book. None of the major world religions can be understood except as a search for salvation, for atonement, deliverance, empowerment, union, love. It is an understanding of this search that leads to a discovery, the discovery of God as Savior, and of God’s salvific activity in human history. This is what is called the Christ Connection. Book CoverBK GJX 001 OMG: A YOUTH MINISTRY HANDBOOK Editor: Kenda Creasey Dean
Most contemporary young people operate far enough from Moses’ moral compass that it never occurs to them that “OMG” has anything to do with the Ten Commandments, much less that it breaks one of them. This book is written for those who have prayed “oh my God” for the young people whom the Holy Spirit has placed on our paths. It outlines talking points for the 21st century church’s reflection on adolescent discipleship formation, aimed at giving young people theological legs to stand on. Reserve this item

BK PFX 044 GOSPEL ACCORDING TO BOB DYLAN, THE: THE OLD, OLD STORY FOR MODERN TIMES Author: Michael J. Gilmour
Meaning is a construction crafted by the listener out of the raw materials provided by musicians. The presence or absence of religious meaning in Bob Dylan’s music is something that rests largely with the listener. His fans agree that his music “comes near” to religious truth, causing us to weigh and consider. Dylan’s music points us toward a vague but tantalizing vision of “that one nature”. Reserve this item
