Presbytery Partnership Group Grants
Synod of the Northeast
Western NY Presbytery Partnership Group
The Western New York PPG receives grant requests originating in the Presbytery of Genesee Valley, Presbytery of Geneva, and the Presbytery of Western New York. Such requests for funding were formerly handled by the Synod, but are now a function of the PPG regional groupings.
Proposals are encouraged from any entity within the three presbyteries, either partnered with another entity or alone. This means that a group that is distinct from a congregation may also submit a proposal. A proposed grant request shall be within the timeframe of three years. Criteria, dates and grant limits are noted on the grant form.
Completed grant request forms are to be endorsed by the Presbytery Council(s) of the submitting group(s). The endorsed proposal shall be sent to the PPG Convener to be approved by the PPG.
Proposals will be reviewed using the criteria set down on the grant request form, including partnering within or across the presbyteries. Additionally, it is felt that it may be helpful, in reviewing a proposal, if reviewers are able to learn the degree to which the applicants have tried to “discern the will of God” in the process of creating a proposal.
The Grant Application Form must be completed electronically and emailed to:
