Youth Advisory Delgate Nominations

The Resource & Education Committee is responsible for selecting primary and alternate YADs for the 220th General Assembly in Pittsburgh, PA June 30–July 7, 2012. Two positions must be filled

Nomination forms are due at the Presbytery Office by Friday, December 16, 2011. Interviews will take place on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 1:30–3:00 pm.

popcornMovie Madness!
An all-night movie-thon for Presbyterian youth in grades 6–12

Sunday January 15–16, 2012 11:30pm–7:30am
at the Regal Cinema 12 at Greece Ridge Center [ map ]

For Youth in grades 6-12, friends and adult leaders (One adult leader is required for each group of 2–8 youth). Individual youth from churches without youth programs are welcome to attend.

$25.00 per person (this price includes three movies, plus a “Reel Meal” of 1 soda, 1 popcorn, and 1 candy. Additional refreshments will be available to purchase at the theater.) Sorry, no refunds or cancellations after the deadline.

CansMission component: Bring canned food items, to be given to the Cameron Community Ministries Food Cupboard. We need a lot of them!

Triple Play2012 “Triple-Play” Grant

Resource & Education is collaborating with Congregational Development and Mission & Advocacy in the creation of a new “Triple-Play” grant process for congregations to apply in 2012 to receive funds in 2013.

We are seeking applications in which the categories of

are combined in a single project, in a partnership of at least two Presbyterian Church (USA) congregations and at least one community agency or program.
