2009
- $300—First Presbyterian Church of Chili
- Members are engaged in a re-discovery and re-development program. They are committed to this program as a result of their participation in A Natural Church Development (NCD) program. “Passion and spirituality” was identified as a priority and under this goal they have identified the need to find passionate spirituality in worship. They have altered worship and plan a once a month “blended worship service” which will introduce different forms of music. To assist with the purchase of 80 hymnals of SING the FAITH.
- $765—Bethany Presbyterian Church
- The request is for $500 to fund the buses for three field trips for the summer program that serves children, in grades PK to 5th grade, from the Longridge School and Greece Central School who are at risk,. The summer program is part of the Two Doors Community Resource Center, Inc. and is supported by Bethany Church. Due to the total budget and the diversity of the program monies was awarded under two differ categories of the endowment guidelines; $500 Youth and $265 Ecumenical Ministries.
2008
- $300—First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford
- Grant helped support an individual for a mission trip to Mozambique, in July and August of this summer, to work on building a two story church in that country.
- $500—First Presbyterian Church of Victor
- Awarded grant toward the cost of Summer Vacation Bible School/Day Camp for Maggie’s Kids of Rochester, NY. This ecumenical program serves 120 children between the ages of 4 to 14 years from the Northeast section of Rochester. In addition, there will be 50 to 100 children from the Victor–Farmington Community. This program seeks suburban partners to provide safe, fun, educational and Christian based activities.
- $300—Third Presbyterian Church
- Awarded a grant for the purchase of computer software to assist the Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network, Inc, (RAIHN) Director in her administrative duties. RAIHN’s overall goal is to provide temporary shelter, meals, and support for parents and children, with the overall goal being permanent housing and employment. The center serves as the family base, and case management services include employment networking, advocacy, and educational services. RAIHN provides 14 of the 243 available beds for homeless families in Rochester. Fourteen “host” congregations provide food and lodging throughout the year.
- 96% (80 of the 90 families) placed and remain in that housing.
- 18% (31 of 172 families) participating adults have enrolled in education programs
- 39% (67 of 172 families) adults have employment.
2007
- $500—Ogden Presbyterian Church
- Grants assisted in sending two youth members, Jacob Gaskil and Chelsea Metherall, to attend the 2007 Youth Triennium.
2006
- $340—Caledonia First Presbyterian Church - SOS (Source of Success) Program
- Provided some needed software and internet service for an after school program. Many youth need extra encouragement and support that is provided by a dedicated group of volunteers; members, community people, teachers and High School volunteers are students – Win-Win for both groups.
- $94—Laurelton United Presbyterian Church
- Money used to purchase two Portable Communion Kits, for trained Elders to serve communion to the homebound members. Elders were able to provide a connection with folks, who are unable to attend services, and a way to take Christ from LUPC Communion table to their homes each month. Three teams of two Elders helped the Church to meet its new goals.
- $326.70—Stone Church Presbyterian Church – Church Ministry
- Purchase 40 new Hymnals, “Songs and Scriptures” and two music leader books. The books are large print 140 page soft cover books and transposed into a lower key needed for the elderly ministry. For many years Stone Church has coordinated a Presbyterian presence at the LeRoy Village Green Skilled Nursing Facility. The current books have been used for over fifteen years and need to be replaced. A partner in this ministry is LeRoy Presbyterian Church and at other times Byron, North Bergen and Batavia have been included.
- $250—South Presbyterian Church – Rosemount House
- South Presbyterian Church purchased, Rosemount House, a house next to church property for the purpose of providing a family setting for extended stays for out of the area family members seeking medical treatment. Goal is to provide a home-like setting for the families with practical needs as their family member receives medical care. Having internet access for the families to research medical information on the internet, e-mail and communicate with family members, employers and friends while they are away from home.
2005
- $450—Lima Presbyterian Church
- The members plan to begin a revitalization campaign to raise awareness of the Lima Church functions. This involved regular advertising about the worship opportunities, activities and events at the church.
- $300—Honeoye Falls Presbyterian Church
- Started a for a walking program targeted for the elderly ministries through the Parish Nurse and Engaging Community Health Outreach program.
- $200—Penfield Presbyterian Church for Tedd Pullano
- Provided additional funds to assist with expenses for Ted (an Inquirer) while he is at a church-wide conference in Multicultural Studies. The conference was at Columbia University in New York City in July 2005.
2004
- 3 each -$155.75—Ogden Presbyterian Church
- Assisted in sending three youth members; Kathryn Haa, Doug Dupree, Amy Webster to attend the 2004 Youth Triennium.
- $467.25—Calvary St Andrews Presbyterian Church
- Calvary has a very demanding Food Ministry and the money was used to up-date the computer used for the Food Cupboard. This provided better and more efficient record keeping.
- $155.75—Byron Presbyterian Church
- The Church was assisting a special family and the money was used to send one of the children to the to attend the 2004 Youth Triennium
