2010 Congregational Development Grants
Application Deadline: Wednesday September 1
The Congregational Development Committee is accepting grant applications for Cooperative Ministry and Congregation Transformation projects.
Cooperative Ministry Grants seek to promote congregational partnerships in mission and ministry. Grants are available to two or more congregations who work together to revitalize congregational life. At least one partner should have an average of fewer than 100 attending Sunday morning worship. Non-PC(USA) congregations may be included. Preference is shown to new partnerships.
Congregational Transformation Grants offer congregations an opportunity to engage in bold ministries of transformational change. Is there some arena of church life that would benefit from positive change? Are you willing to take a risk and try something new? Need help thinking this through? Contact committee member Rev. Jim Renfrew 585-548-2800
Projects for either grant may include:
- implementing a one-time event or an ongoing series of activities
- engaging in mission projects
- training congregational leaders to gain new skills and equip them for ministry
- acquiring resources, equipment, staff, educational support
- developing spiritual revitalization endeavors
- reaching a new audience
- your unique ideas!
Mission contributions by churches to the Presbytery make these grants possible.
