Ecclessiastes 3:17Part Time Ministry—In Your Church?
Is it “Maintenance Staffing in Lean Times”
or “New Models for Transformational Leadership”?

The Clergy Care and Development Committee and the Resource Center bring you two discussions exploring the joys and challenges of part-time or bivocational ministry.

These sessions will be especially relevant for clergy, CLPs, and congregational leaders considering a part-time staffing model. At the same time, the perspectives, gifts and skills that allow pastors and congregations to be successful in a part time model are applicable to full-time settings as well. Come join in the discussion.

Resource Saturday: Special Edition
Saturday September 18, 9:30–11am

The trend of mainline church decline is an invitation to churches of all sizes to rethink how we approach God's future. Pastoral leadership will be an essential part of equipping the church for that future, and part-time staffing has a role to play.

We’ll hear from Rev. Sam Picard, the pastor at Laurelton United Presbyterian Church and from Elder Susan Orr, Presbyter for Mission and Education who has served as clerk of session and music director at Laurelton.

Together Susan and Sam will share perspectives from clergy and congregational leadership on the excitement and challenges of part-time ministry.
