Mental Health Service Guide

The Mental Health Association of Rochester/Monroe County has released the 2007 edition of “Finding Your Way: A Guide to Mental Health Services in Monroe and Livingston Counties.”

This is a 97-page, spiral bound guide to mental health services in the two counties named in the title. It includes:

Lectionary Study Group
pulpitThe Lectionary at Lunch: Preaching with Preachers

At these weekly collegial gatherings, preachers will together reflect both on “what went well” in the pulpit yesterday, and on the coming Sunday’s Lectionary readings. By attending to preaching as a communal vocation undertaken in partnership, we will hopefully deepen appreciation for the variety of contexts in which the Word is proclaimed and for the ways we can enhance our own ministries of preaching.

Of Special Interest for Retirees, Their Spouses or Survivors

The Association of Retired Ministers, Their Spouses or Survivors (ARMSS) is a national organization of the Presbyterian Church (USA), formed in 1997. Membership is open to retired Presbyterian Church (USA) clergy, spouses and their survivors. Membership is automatic when a minister is honorably retired, or is a spouse of an honorably retired minister or the spouse of a deceased minister.

Purpose

Through worship, major presentations, discussion groups, fun and fellowship, seek to meet the needs of the Honorable Retired, their spouses, and their surviving spouses.

Mission

The Association of Retired Ministers, their Spouses and Survivors is called by the grace of God to bear witness to their faithful service to Jesus Christ. Therefore, we covenant to:
